Over the course of this past summer, a lot of things started going through my head. I have made some scary realizations that made me reevaluate how I was doing college. Let me clarify this: school is fine. I haven’t gotten into trouble and I’m making it through my classes. What I am talking about is relationships. I have been in Tuscaloosa for a little longer than two years, and over this short time, I have created some of the strongest relationships. Two years and three months ago, I had never met these people that I now call my best friends.

As my time in college keeps going, it seems that I am constantly encountering new people that influence me in such an amazing way. To say that I am glad our paths have crossed is an understatement. Everyone that I have met at ‘Bama has changed the way I live, act, and even think on a regular basis. It is clearly evident to me that God works in these guys and girls everyday.

I want to encourage and motivate you to get involved with your own college ministry, youth group, congregation, etc. These groups exist so that we can grow stronger together, cheer one another on, and be there for each other in difficult times. Within Tide 4 Christ I have so many brothers and sisters that help me grow closer to God everyday. The people in T4C want to help each other become better followers of Christ.

I know that whatever situation you are in, there is a college group, youth group, or other group of Christians that want to help you grow. If you are not taking advantage of these kinds of opportunities, you are missing out on a vast amount of spiritual growth. Seek out those groups and the opportunities they present to grow closer to our Lord and Savior.

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” -Hebrews 10:24-25
