Will Harrison is a 2017 graduate of the University of Alabama. While at Central church of Christ and being apart of the Tide for Christ Student Ministry, he served as the Design and Social Media officer in 2014, Vice President in 2015, and President of Tide 4 Christ in 2016.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I came to Tuscaloosa with a lot of excitement \u2014 from starting an education in engineering to becoming a part of the Tide 4 Christ ministry. Some of the best years of my life were spent with friends in Tide 4 Christ at the University of Alabama. When I look back, it seems I gained an immense amount of life experience in my time at the University.<\/p>\n

So, what have I been up to?<\/p>\n

After graduation in May of 2017, I started working as a youth minister in residence at the Mt. Juliet Church of Christ outside of Nashville, TN.<\/p>\n

\nI took the job during my last semester at UA and have been working with the youth here and learning an enormous amount about youth ministry ever since.<\/p>\n

Today I’m in ministry, really not using the degree I earned at Alabama. But I’ll never regret going to UA. Tide 4 Christ was home. And I know so many current and former students feel the same way.<\/p>\n

In July of 2017, I married my wife Jennah. Aside from taking care of the home and the puppy, Jennah is finishing her education with Freed-Hardeman University. We love living in this area and being so close to Nashville\u2014an area I grew up liking. We’ve found incredible friendships within the church here, which has been a huge blessing.<\/p>\n

Looking back on my experience at UA, I find a great deal to be thankful for.<\/p>\n

I’m glad I branched out. I came to UA with a good bit of close friends \u2014 friends I’m especially thankful for. It took a couple semesters to get outside my comfort zone of friends, but I tried to make many more friendships. Friendships I believe will last a lifetime.<\/p>\n

I’m glad I took advantage of the opportunities afforded me \u2014 internships, speaking opportunities, service projects, even mission trips. Most of which were only available because of where I was.<\/p>\n

I’m glad I went to a public school. I grew up going to a private school for 14 years. To then be able to round out my educational experience with several years at a public institution has proven to be valuable for my education and faith.<\/p>\n

It’s really cool to see pictures and hear wonderful things about the good that is happening with Tide 4 Christ. Keep up the good work!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
