Over my past few years with Tide 4 Christ, I have made many\nfriendships that mean a great deal to me, and while some of these friends have\ngraduated and moved on to the next stage of their lives, there are still many\nwho like me returned this fall.  I always\nlook forward to the chance to return and fellowship and grow with these people\nand the amazing group here in Tuscaloosa. \nOne of the high points of the University of Alabama is the diversity of\nbackgrounds for all the students enrolled. \nEvery year we gain so many new students in our group that add unique\nperspectives and insights.  But even with\nour differing backgrounds we still come together several times a week for the\nsame goal: working towards growing closer to Christ and to one another as\nbrothers and sisters in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

None of this would be possible without our members\u2019\nwillingness to get out into the world and connect with people.  I have made some great friends over the past\nseveral years that are people who accepted invitations from their roommates to\ncome to church, or who joined the T4C intramural teams to help us try to get a\nvictory on the field.  I\u2019m glad I get to\nbe a part of this group that gives us opportunity after opportunity to be the\nlight we are called to be in Matthew 5.  With\nevery evening volunteering, devotional on campus, or game at the rec fields,\neven just wearing a Tide 4 Christ shirt while walking to class, I see our group\nputting themselves out into the world in a huge way.  I\u2019m glad I am able to be part of this group\nand I look forward to making new friendships and having those friends challenge\nme to be a better Christian each day by their amazing examples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
