After having attended the University of Alabama for two years now,\nI can honestly say that T4C has been one of the biggest blessings during that\ntime. Arriving at Alabama in the fall of 2017 was a turbulent time for me. It\nwasn\u2019t that I was afraid of being away from home or anything like that. The\njump from my school of 255 students to 40,000 wasn\u2019t even that bad, but finding\na place to belong, in the beginning, was difficult. Thankfully, two of my\nfriends from back home were attending Central Church of Christ, so I decided to\njoin them for Get Tide in Week. From there, I got to meet so many welcoming\npeople and even my future roommates. T4C quickly became a foundation for me to\ngrow throughout the past two years, and I hope that it will continue to be so\nin the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s strange to think that I\u2019m already an upperclassman. It feels\nlike just yesterday that I graduated high school and dreaded coming to college.\nI have an older brother who attends Auburn University (sad, I know), and he\ncame back from his freshman year just bubbling over with all the stories of the\nfriends he made and the adventures he had. Before coming to school, I was\nafraid that I\u2019d have nothing to compare with my brother, that my experience at\nuniversity would be a quiet and lonely one. But T4C gave me the opportunity to\nbe with a wonderful group of people, who were excited to grow and learn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going into my junior year, I will be a Community Service Officer\nalong with Jed Henderson. We are hoping to reach out to many people this coming\nyear and have T4C be excited about the outreach, inside and outside the Central\nCongregation. Apart from community service, I\u2019m personally excited to see\neverybody, new and old, this coming fall 2019 semester, to get back and play\nsome intramurals that we may or may not lose repeatedly, and to go back and\ngrow more with this group of people I\u2019ve come to love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galatians 6:2 says this: \u201cCarry each other\u2019s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.\u201d I believe that Tide 4 Christ is a place where we can share our burdens, and, in this way, grow together as we serve our God. I\u2019m looking forward to this coming year with everybody at Tide 4 Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
